Vegan Beef & Cheese Sliders

Vegan Beef & Cheese Sliders. So. Dang. Good. These are quick, easy, and are also a fun plant-based game day food - no one will miss the meat!

Ingredients

  • 1 package Dinner rolls I like using potato rolls
  • 4 cups Vegan ground beef
  • 1 medium Onion finely diced
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Basil
  • ½ cup Vegan Sour Cream
  • ¼ cup Nutritional Yeast
Melty Cheese:
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • ¼ cup Soy milk may need more depending on brand of cheese used
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
Topping:
  • 1 tablespoon Vegan butter melted
  • 2 tablespoon sesame seeds

Method

  1. Saute onion in butter over medium/high heat until onions are translucent and cooked all the way through.
  2. Mix in spices.
  3. Mix in vegan ground meat and let cook until done.
  4. Turn off heat. Add in sour cream and nutritional yeast. Mix until well combined. Set aside.
  5. Cut the sheet of dinner rolls in half using a long bread knife. You now have a top sheet and a bottom sheet of bread. Place the bottom half on a baking sheet.
  6. Place the vegan ground mixture on the bottom half of the bread. Pack it down gently, but firmly so it doesn't crumble out. Set aside.
  7. Prepare your melty cheese sauce!
  8. Add butter to a small pan over low/medium heat. Let it melt
  9. Once butter has melted, add in milk and cheese. Cook until melted all together. Stir consistently. (approx. 8-10 min)
  10. Drizzle cheese over vegan ground mixture. Place the top sheet of bread back on top.
  11. Brush top of bread with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  12. Bake at 350 F. for 12-15 min or until buns are as crispy as you like.
  13. Cut along edges of the rolls before serving (as seen in video). Enjoy!
